Talent Acquisition Lead - GTM
Talent Acquisition Lead - GTM
Talent | Location Remote (but a London office if you wish to use it)
At Pod Point we’re changing the way people drive. We fundamentally believe that travel shouldn’t damage the Earth so we’ve made it our mission to install a Pod Point (an Electric Vehicle charging point) everywhere you park. To make that vision a reality, we need the brightest, most tenacious and most inspiring talent in the world - we are growing faster than the market and we need to maintain that velocity - that’s where you come in!
The Role
We’re looking for a diligent, innovative and proactive Talent Acquisition Lead to jump on board and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals.
Our number one commitment to our Pod Pointers is that we will surround them with the best colleagues possible, and to do this we need a recruitment superstar. We’ve already expanded rapidly over the past few years, growing our team to over 500 people, predominantly without any external help, and we want to continue this impressive growth trajectory.
This position will report into the Head of Recruitment and will be based remotely (although we have an office near Old Street Station in London that you are welcome to use).
What you’ll do
- Manage the GTM (Commercial, Operations, Professional Services, Supply Chain) recruitment pipeline from inception to signed contract, by:
Working with hiring managers and senior leadership to define role requirements and salaries, and writing job adverts
Advertising and proactively sourcing for roles - holding personal responsibility for senior sales roles
Interviewing candidates to assess cultural fit, technical suitability for the role, and to get them excited about the possibility of working at Pod Point
Being an ambassador for our outstanding culture to potential candidates, and ensuring everyone has a great impression of Pod Point
Handling job offers and salary negotiations
Manage, lead and develop the GTM recruitment team
Continuously assess and improve candidate engagement strategies and activity
Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and hiring managers across GTM teams; as subject matter expert for all recruitment related matters
Analyse recruitment process, devise improvement plans and work with the Head of Recruitment and VP People on implementation
Track, analyse and report on key metrics and performance indicators within the commercial recruitment team
Work closely with People Operations to ensure smooth onboarding for all new Pod Pointers and to reduce attrition within commercial teams
Support Head of Recruitment on strategic projects within the recruitment team
What you’ll need
Previous experience in a ‘player / coach’ recruitment role - personally filling roles whilst managing or mentoring others
Demonstrable track record of filling senior level commercial roles (rarely, if ever, resorting to agencies)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong track record of working in passive candidate markets; excellent proactive sourcing skills using both boolean and x-ray searching
Data driven mindset and the ability to pull meaningful insights from recruitment data to effect positive change
Highly organised, experience of managing diverse roles and responsibilities concurrently
Experience working with an ATS
Very strong relationship building skills - externally with candidates and internally with stakeholders
Bonus Points
- Recruitment agency and in house experience
Experience working for a hypergrowth, scale up business
Strong excel skills (pivot tables, conditional formatting, charts)
You have a dog (which you’d be welcome to bring into the office, as and when you choose to go in)
You’re passionate and knowledgeable about climate change, sustainability and/or the EV industry
And if you’re not sure whether you’re what we’re looking for - send us your CV anyway! We love to hear from people who are passionate about what we do, and we always take the view that a good cultural fit (and mission alignment) is much more important than ticking all the “qualifications, skills and experience” boxes.
Our culture is electric
At Pod Point we like to think we are anything but conventional. We have worked hard to create a rapidly-growing, constantly innovating, flat-structured world, where each employee can see the vital contribution they are making to the company. We knew from the very beginning that a rigid, corporate environment was never going to work for us, and we have stayed true to our word - we’re anything but.
We work hard; we’re not clock-watchers but equally you may find yourself working into the evening very occasionally. In return we’ll pay you well, give you complete ownership to shape the role, give you ground-breaking projects to work on and surround you with fantastic, talented people. We also provide the following benefits:
- Salary Sacrifice Electric Vehicle Scheme
- Flexible working hours and a casual dress code
- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays)
- Very generous maternity and paternity leave scheme
- Pension scheme
- Eyecare scheme
- The odd Pod Point puppy to cuddle.
We’re a “Remote first” company, so we conduct all interviews on Google Meet and are pretty good at onboarding new starters remotely (if we do say so ourselves). We do have our dog friendly (!) London office which you will be welcome to use for work if you prefer - although there will be no requirement for you to do so.
Final things to note
Pod Point is an equal opportunities employer, although you must be legally able to work in the UK, and any data you provide us will be stored and disseminated in accordance with Pod Point’s Privacy Policy.
We like to deal directly with our candidates so no agencies please!
