Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Online Assessments
Once your CV has been screened and reviewed (by a human!), if you are shortlisted, you will be invited to complete the AssessFirst online assessments. You will receive an email with a link to access these. The assessments consist of three short modules designed to evaluate your personality, motivations, and reasoning style. They can be completed on either a mobile device or a laptop, with a total completion time of approximately 30 minutes. (Please be sure to check your junk folder if the invitation does not appear in your inbox.) Please ensure you respond to the assessments as spontaneously and authentically as possible to ensure an accurate match.
This stage ensures a fair and consistent evaluation of all applicants beyond the information contained in a CV. The insights provided help us understand how well your natural preferences and drivers align with our organisational culture, allowing us to identify candidates who are most likely to flourish and succeed within our team.
After completion, you'll receive a comprehensive report detailing your natural strengths, areas of improvement, motivations and decision-making process. So you will walk away with these insights which you can then use at other interviews/ meetings in the near future if you wish to do so.
- Stage 2
Discovery Meeting (30-45mins)
Your interview journey begins with a teams meeting with a member of our Talent Acquisition team. This conversation is not just an interview; it's an opportunity for us to get to know you better. We want to hear about your aspirations and relevant experiences related to the role you're interested in.
During this call, we'll give you an inside look at Pod Point and provide detailed information about the position you're interested in. Feel free to ask any questions you have about the role or our company.
We'll find a convenient time for both of us to jump on a teams meeting. We're excited to meet you!
- Stage 3
Assessment Day (Placement Year)
As part of our recruitment process, we’ll be inviting shortlisted candidates to an assessment day at Pod. This is a chance for us to get to know you beyond your CV and understand how you would fit into life at Pod. The day is designed to be engaging and welcoming, giving you the opportunity to show how you think, communicate, and collaborate with others. We are keen to see your energy, curiosity and enthusiasm, so come ready to get involved and be yourself.
What to expect on the day:
- A warm welcome and introduction to Pod, our culture and values
- Interactive group activities to see how you work with others
- Practical exercises linked to the role and real scenarios you might face
- Informal conversations with members of the sales team and hiring managers
- Time to ask questions and get a feel for what it is really like to work at Pod
