I am the Embedded Software Engineering Manager at Pod Point; I line manage the team of Embedded Software Engineers and I oversee the Embedded function which includes Product Owner, Agile Delivery Manager, and Verification Test Engineer.

We strive for Engineering Excellence, delivering business value, and work closely with the hardware/electronics team, and other software teams, to achieve this.

I think it's great to be part of the EV industry, and I think there's a lot about the user demand for EV chargers in a few years from now that we don't yet fully know. It's an exciting time to be involved in the development of these products through this time of growth and to be part of process towards making travel not damage the earth. The culture at Pod Point is great, and the size of the Engineering teams is good for both fast progress and flexibility.

I started as an Embedded Software Engineer in 2010. I have been involved with low level device drivers, digital signal processing for industrial measurement, automotive and broadcasting applications. I particularly enjoy digital signal processing, low level device driver communications, continuous integration and improving processes. I first stepped into a management role in 2015 and have managed all aspects and disciplines for the development of electromechanical products, with my main focus and passion being in Embedded Software. I place a high value on ensuring that Engineers are well supported and developed in their role, as I strive to match skills, interests and business needs.
